AUT University Library has digitised the AUT Roll of Honour, a unique item which is of great value to AUT and to New Zealand in general. This beautiful memorial work, which was created by Peter Gilderdale who is the Head of the Graphic Design Department at AUT, is an appropriate way of honouring those whose names originally appeared on the Seddon Technical College Honours Boards.
Peter points out that nobody "knew the criterion for inclusion on the boards – whether it represented alumni who served in the wars or who died. My impression, after working on it, was that it was for men who either died or were awarded high honours, however I hope that wider digital distribution of the book means that someone sees this who can definitively answer the question."
