What help is available for assessments for UG and PG coursework students?

Throughout the semester, you can:

  • Book online and on-campus workshops about academic writing, paraphrasing, referencing and oral/video presentations
  • Book a 20-minute appointment for assessment advice and to find out about online resources and workshops that are relevant for you
  • View examples of academic reading, writing and presenting your ideas in Your Library on Canvas
  • Learn about academic writing and presenting in your lectures and tutorials

Learning advisors may be able to work with you on your assignment once it has been submitted and marked by your lecturer. In accordance with AUT’s proofreading guidelines for student assessments and the guidelines for the proofreading of postgraduate theses and dissertations at AUT, learning advisors do not proofread or check student work. Students may have approximately two appointments per semester.

Studiosity
Get feedback on your work before you have to submit it for marking. Log in to Canvas – open any course and 'Get study help now (Studiosity)' is in the left-hand menu.
Draft Coach
Use Draft Coach to check your referencing, quoting, and paraphrasing before you submit your work:
  • Install Draft Coach in the Microsoft 365 version of Word
  • Read the Similarity Report to check your originality
  • Make improvements to your work
