Covid-19 Alert Level Library Services

From Monday the 15th of June the Library is moving back to 'normal'. Some things will be a bit different while we all move back to campus. Check the details below.

From Monday 15 June, things at the Library are back to normal - walk-ins welcome, study space and group rooms open, books and PCs available, etc.

On campus

While we can gather again, we warmly encourage everyone to continue to use the QR codes when visiting any AUT campus for contact tracing.

Returns

You can start to return books if you're able to. If you have any overdue items, you will not be fined for the COVID-19 period. If you've received a fine notice in error, let us know. We're providing a grace period up until early July to give you time to return books. This is when overdue notices will be turned back on. However, if you can't return items for whatever reason, please get in touch with us via Library Chat - we understand that there may be many reasons you can't get to campus before Semester 2.

You may have recently received a Replacement Bill or Overdue Fines notice via email. The email was generated and sent automatically from our system when notices were turned back on after lockdown. We apologise for any distress or concerns caused by this.

If you still have books that were borrowed before lockdown:

  1. All fines and fees accrued will be waived once all your books have been returned.
  2. Please return all of your AUT Library books as soon as you're able to so that other borrowers will be able to use them.
  3. If you’re unable to return your books, please get in touch with us at aut_library@aut.ac.nz.
