During busy periods, drop-ins are limited to 15 minutes per student twice per semester (not more than once per week).
Learning advisors do not proofread or check student writing. This is in accordance with AUT’s proofreading guidelines for student assessments and the guidelines for the proofreading of postgraduate theses and dissertations.

For you to have the best experience during online drop-ins, there are a couple of things to do.

If you’re using Blackboard Collaborate Ultra for the first time (or using it on a particular device for the first time), you will be taken through audio and video set up when you join the session. This is easy to follow.
Click on the ‘raise hand’ button to let us know that you have joined the drop-in. You may need to wait a few minutes if we’re busy.
During teaching weeks (Weeks 3 – 13, except on public holidays), a learning advisor will be available online between 2pm and 3pm from Monday to Friday.
