Throughout the semester

Students have direct access to academic writing advisors through drop-ins and workshops.

After assignment submission

The essential steps for working with undergraduate and postgraduate coursework students are below. Our focus is on working with lecturer feedback. How we work with UG & PG coursework students

Academic writing advisors may be able to work with you on your writing once it has been submitted and marked by your lecturer. In accordance with AUT’s proofreading guidelines for student assessments and the guidelines for the proofreading of postgraduate theses and dissertations at AUT, academic writing advisors do not proofread or check student writing. There is a maximum of two academic writing appointments per student for each semester.

Meet with a senior student who will mentor you in a specific subject or on general academic skills.
Upload your work for feedback before you have to submit it for marking. Log into Blackboard – scroll down under ‘My organisations’.
